Description:
Bhagavad Geeta Chanting - Chapter 4 - - Jñāna Karma Sanyāsa Yoga
Inspired and initiated by Param Pujya Swami Chinmayanandaji, Chinmaya Mission under the guidance of Pujya Swami Swaroopanandaji has been organizing the Geeta Fest, throughout the world. This year, the fourth chapter: Jñāna Karma Sanyāsa Yoga – The Yoga of Renunciation of Action in Knowledge, has been selected for all of us to learn to chant.
Nothing in this world is more sacred or more potent than the Knowledge of the Self - it is the key to happiness, success and prosperity.
The fourth chapter of the Bhavagad Gita, the Yoga of Renunciation of Action in Knowledge, is an extension of the ideas propounded in the previous chapter on the Yoga of Action. It dwells on the technique of self-perfection, on the nature of action, as well as inaction, and establishes the supremacy of Knowledge.
It concludes with Shri Krishna stating the necessary qualities for acquiring this knowledge of the Self and urging us to 'Arise, O Bhrata!' to achieve our true potential.
