Description:

Reading and writing comprehension. Simple Story telling in Hindi. Simple Essay writing – able to write about a vacation or trip or an experience in Hindi. Advanced reading and writing. Complex sentence formation. Essay writing. Write short infomercials, stories, poems, plays etc. Debate in Hindi (for over-achievers).

This is a humble attempt to teach children growing up in the US some basic spoken Hindi and conversational skills. Children take part weekly in an hour of class activity and must be willing to invest at least 1-1.5 hours weekly outside the class due to limited instruction time in class – language needs regular practice beyond once a week.

Prerequisite: Mastered Middle School level
