Chinmaya Mission New York (CMNY) presents

Downtown Bala Vihar Trial Class

We invite the entire family to join us for an experience of a Downtown Bala Vihar class. Bala Vihar offers weekly Hindu spiritual and cultural classes for all ages, featuring:

  • Age-appropriate curriculum based on Hindu Scriptures
  • Singing and chanting of bhajans and stotrams
  • Stories, interactive discussions, and engaging activities
  • Celebration of festivals for the whole family
  • Dedicated satsangs for parents

Location: Chelsea Area (disclosed after registration for Downtown Bala Vihar Trial Class completed)

Date: Regular scheduled session to be confirmed in a separate email

Time: 3:30PM - 5:45PM

Who: Potential families interested in joining Bala Vihar

Fee: $15 per child/youth 

Schedule:

3:30PM - 3:45PM : Arrival and Check-in

3:52PM - 4.00PM : Hanuman Chalisa Chanting

4:00PM - 4:25PM : Opening prayers and assembly

4:30PM - 5:25PM : Classroom sessions for children and youth. satsang for accompanying parents

5:30PM - 5:45PM : Closing Prayers, Aarti and Prasad 


Prerequisite:
  • Prior registration is required to attend the Downtown Bala Vihar Trial Class session.
  • Parents of Kindergarteners through 12th graders will attend a parent information session while their child or youth participates in their grade-appropriate class.
  • Shishu Vihar is a parent-and-me class, so one parent must be present with the child at all times. We encourage both parents to join us for the Downtown Bala Vihar Trial Class session. While one parent participates in Shishu Vihar, the other can attend the satsang session.
