Teacher: Sonali Garg
At Moksha Arts, we lovingly call our teachers “Didi,” which means older sister. Our Didis are more than instructors. They are friends, mentors, and role models who nurture each dancer with care, encouragement, and inspiration.
Interns (Our younger "Didi"):
This class will also include a student intern (or interns) working alongside our teacher. Our interns are longtime Moksha Arts students who have grown within our program and now serve as positive role models. They provide extra hands-on support, helping our younger dancers feel guided, encouraged, and confident in class.

Additional Information:
Class Guidelines:
- Students dance barefoot (socks and shoes removed in studio)
- We kindly ask that all dancers use the restroom before class begins. This helps minimize disruptions, ensures dancers can stay fully focused, and allows the class to run smoothly without unnecessary breaks.
- Wear comfortable clothing (Moksha Arts t-shirt and leggings/sweatpants). No dresses or skirts.
- Hair must be pulled back securely in a ponytail or bun (hair ties must stay in place — this is mandatory)
- Bring a water bottle to every class
Attendance & Make-ups:
- No make-up classes are provided for student absences. Students should refer to class folder for videos to see what they have missed. Class folders will be shared with all registered dancers.
- Make-ups will only be offered if Moksha Arts cancels a class due to teacher emergency.
- Please inform Punchali and/or your teacher of any absences ahead of class.
December Student Showcase:
Our December 11th Student-Only Showcase will also be our annual Moksha Arts “For Kids, By Kids” Santa's Workshop charity event which is led by our interns. This meaningful tradition not only gives our dancers the opportunity to perform but also to contribute toward a greater cause. Further details will be shared in October.
Spring Session & June Recital (Save the Date):
Spring semester schedule will remain the same as fall. Classes will begin January 8th and end on June 6th.
End-of-year performance for friends families will be on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Symphony Space (Manhattan)
