Description:
The curriculum of Symbolism in Hinduism includes:
- Explain the ideal that murti-s (idols) represent
- Explain symbolism of the Hindu deities: Ganesha, Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Goddesses, Sri Krsna, and Sri Rama
- Explain the significance of traditional religious festivals attributed to the above deities and celebrate them
Additional Information:
This will be a combined Grade 4 and Grade 5 class. The full curriculum for Grade 4 and Grade 5 includes Symbolism In Hinduism and Krsna, Krsna Everywhere, taught over 2 DTBV academic years.
Prerequisite:
Children must be starting Grade 4 or 5 in September 2025.
