Description:

Moksha Arts Dance Company
The Moksha Arts Dance Company is our premier performance group for dedicated dancers ages 7+. Company members represent Moksha Arts at community events, showcases, and competitions, both locally and internationally.

Being part of the Dance Company is a commitment to artistic growth, teamwork, and performance excellence. Dancers train weekly in company rehearsals and are also required to enroll in at least one additional class to continue building strong technique and versatility.

As members, dancers receive unique opportunities including:

  • Performing at special events and cultural festivals
  • Participating in our annual Bollywood Dance Video production (not Mandatory)
  • Working closely with teachers (“Didi”) and student mentors
  • Developing leadership, confidence, and stage presence

The Dance Company is more than a performance group. It’s a supportive community where young dancers grow in skill, discipline, and grace.

NOTE: Due to the high level of interest from dancers ages 7–12, we are excited to offer two Level 1 Dance Company options this season: (Monday, 7pm & Thursday, 7pm). This will allow us to keep class sizes manageable and ensure that each dancer receives the individual attention and support they need.

What’s Included:

  • 2026 Moksha Arts T-Shirt
  • Training in Bollywood dance foundations, performance skills, and confidence-building
  • Semester-end dancer-only showcase on Thursday, December 11th @ 5pm (for Moksha Arts dancers only)

Communication:
All Moksha Arts communication happens via email. Please be sure to register with an email you check regularly.

Teachers:

Harmeet Kamboj

At Moksha Arts, we lovingly call our teachers “Didi,” which means older sister. Our Didis are more than instructors. They are friends, mentors, and role models who nurture each dancer with care, encouragement, and inspiration.

Interns (Our younger "Didi"):

These classes will also include student interns working alongside our teachers. Our interns are longtime Moksha Arts students who have grown within our program and now serve as positive role models. They provide extra hands-on support, helping our younger dancers feel guided, encouraged, and confident in class.

  • Please inform Punchali and/or your teacher of any absences ahead of class.

Moksha Arts Dance Video (Participation is optional):

All Moksha Arts Dance Company members will have the opportunity to participate in our annual Moksha Arts Dance Video. At our school, this tradition is more than just a performance. It’s a way for students (ages 7–18) to experience the art of storytelling through dance.

Dancing for the camera challenges our students to refine their expressions, enhance their ability to communicate emotion, and bring narratives to life, much like Bollywood movies. Beyond technique, it’s a unique opportunity for them to grow as performers while capturing their progress in a format that can be treasured for years to come. The video experience gives our dancers a real taste of what it means to shine on screen.

December Student Showcase:

Our December 11th Student-Only Showcase will also be our annual Moksha Arts “For Kids, By Kids” Santa's Workshop charity event which is led by our interns. This meaningful tradition not only gives our dancers the opportunity to perform but also to contribute toward a greater cause. Further details will be shared in October.
